I made this to hang on my mantle. I’ll make the pennants larger next time.

Holiday Mini Catalog

Today is the start of the Holiday Mini Catalog!!
There are some great new items that I am so excited about. My top five items are:
1. The simply scoring tool. It’s about time Stampin’ Up! came out with a scoring tool. And I love the little storage box underneath along with the markers to remind me where to score if I’m making multiple items. Huge help!
Simply Scored 122334
Preferred Price: $29.95

Take the chore out of scoring! The Simply Scored Scoring Tool’s base fits paper or card stock up to 12″ x 12″ and features score tracks every 1/8″. Features two easy-to-read rulers (with inch markings down to 1/8″) along top and left side for perfect scoring. (One standard left-to-right ruler and one zero center ruler.) Includes three markers and stylus. Bottom of base has nonmarking and nonskid feet to secure it on your work areach Base measures Approximately
15-1/8″ x 13-1/4″ x 1″.

2. Cellophane Bags. These are very competitively priced and now they can be on one single order.
1″ X 8″ Cellophane Bag 124134
Preferred Price: $2.50

Narrow cellophane bags perfect for filling with a row of treats, a pencil, or anything! Great for gifts—add a tag or topper you’ve created using any punch or Big Shot die. Adhesive on top keeps everything inside. Each measures 1″ x 8″. 50 per package.

3. Frostwood Lodge DSP. This paper is very manly, very woodsy. I can see myself using it on quite a few projects, not just petting the very pretty paper.
Frostwood Lodge Designer Series Paper 124002
Preferred Price: $10.95

You’ll want to wrap yourself up in the warm textures of this paper! Holiday colors and cozy designs make this a great choice for your holiday projects. 12 sheets total. 2 each of 6 double-sided designs. Acid and lignin free. 12″ x 12″.

4. 3/8″ Quilted Satin Ribbon. The ribbon is super cute. I love the texture of it and it goes great with the Frostwood Lodge paper. It adds a soft touch without adding a feminine touch. I think it’s the fact that the ribbon is quilted and takes away that sheen that takes away the feminine feel.
3/8″ Cherry Cobbler Quilted Satin Ribbon 124105
Preferred Price: $7.95

Add subtle elegance to all your holiday projects with the quilted
texture and softness of this ribbon. Coordinates with the Frostwood
Lodge Designer Series Paper. Approximately 10 yds.
3/8″ Early Espresso Quilted Satin Ribbon 124104
Preferred Price: $7.95

Add subtle elegance to all your holiday projects with the quilted
texture and softness of this ribbon. Coordinates with the Frostwood
Lodge Designer Series Paper. Approximately 10 yds.

5. 1″ Square Punch. So excited to have a smaller square punch. There are so many layering options with the circle punches and while having a 1/2″ square punch doesn’t make sense to me, one inch is perfect. Stampin’ Up! needed this size to round things out.
1″ Square Punch 124094
Preferred Price: $15.95
Use this new punch with the 25 and Counting Set and Peekaboo Frames Bigz L Die to create a personalized advent calendar. Or use with the Petal Card Double Punch to create darling gift tags.

So there you have it! I’m pretty easy to please, I’m noticing. I guess I just like to pick items that will really give me the most bang for my buck. If you’d like to order through me, please don’t hesitate sending me an email and I’ll be in contact with you by the end of the day.

What A Long While

I haven’t posted a blog entry since April. Summer just gets away from me. The family is super busy and I just can’t be consistent in my blogging so I just resign from my duties. I’ll be back up and running full steam Thursday September 1st.
I plan on taking full advantages of my Stampin’ Up! demonstratorship from here on out. As such, I’ll be making items to sell at craft fairs. I’ll therefore be showing items that I’ve made and then linking them to my Etsy store. Those items will be posted on Wednesday’s.

Spring Wreath

I made a wreath for my mantel that is appropriate for Spring. I plan on making another one for summer, I just need to know what to make. Here are almost step by step pictures.
1. This is how the wreath started. It’s the largest wreath you can get from Dollar Tree, I believe it’s 18 inches.

2. I bought glimmer mist in green meadow. I love glimmer mist for projects like these. It adds a little something to projects.

3. After spraying the wreath with the glimmer mist, it was a little too light. More Easter green rather than green.

4. Using Mini Misters by Ranger Inks and classic Stampin’ Up! inks, I was able to make my own little spray inkers. I loved Handsome Hunter, it was such a rich, deep green. I miss it!

5. Adding the Handsome Hunter and Chocolate Chip, I was able to tone down some of the bright green.

6. Using my Making Memories Slice, I cut out images and backed them on light chipboard. The little circles are the centers cut out for daisies, getting ready to be colored in.

7. Starting to come together. I bought a little thing of fabric tulips from the dollar store and cut them apart and down with wire cutters.

8. This is a close-up of the side so far. Thank god for hot glue!

9. Using a bright green and white ribbon, I went around the wreath for a little added texture.

10. Here is the final close-up of the side of the wreath. I like that it doesn’t feel over done.

Planner and Planning

I keep a calendar planner in my purse at all time. If I don’t write appointments and dates down immediately, I immediately forget them. So I got a little planner from the dollar store. It’s nice to just have a little something that isn’t bulky.

So with my scraps, I put together this little ensemble.
I cut out the circles using my Fiskars shape express cutter. The scallop is my Stampin’ Up! Extra Large scallop (which I am slightly in love with by the way), a tag maker tag from Making Memories, and the leaf sticker is a fabric sticker and it came in some giant package of scrapbook stuff that I got probably three Christmases ago. I’m telling you, I can really hoard some stuff. Thankfully, the host of Hoarders isn’t coming to my house since it’s just scrapbook stuff but still!! And the patterned paper is from Die Cuts With a View Fun in the Sun collection. So not really anything Stampin’ Up! in here, but it’s fun and funky and just what I need!

Next up is a little news about the site. Quite a few of the blogs I follow do a little something on Wednesdays called Wordless Wednesdays, where they post an un-crafting related picture. Well, weekends are usually a busy time for everyone, so I’m going to do a little spin-off here. Starting next Sunday, I’m going to have Sunday Fun-Days, where I’ll post a picture of what is going on in my family’s life.

Mini Calendars

About two months ago, I went to a meeting at my Stampin’ Up! upline’s house. She is the one I signed up to be a demonstrator under. We made these adorable calendars, here.

After that, I just had to copy them, and I plan on making more next year as well. Well, in my true ditzy fashion, I made them but then they got lost under a pile of other supplies. Well, I just gave them to their rightful owners yesterday. So please don’t shoot me Marjie!! I am a very forgetful person.

This one is my more girly one obviously. I love Blushing Bride as a color, it’s just so pretty and girly. Plus, it goes great with Pink Pirouette.
Stampin’ Up! Cardstock: Pink Pirouette, Creamy Caramel (retired), and Chocolate Chip
Patterned Paper: Blushing Bride from Hostess Pack In Colors collection
Embellishments: Brown Buttons from Sweet Buttons mix, retired

And this is my more colorful one that I made for my friends who aren’t in love with the color pink.
Stampin’ Up! Cardstock: Very Vanilla, Pacific Point, Real Red
Patterned Paper: Celebrations DSP
Embellishments: Pacific Point Corduroy buttons, retired

Spring Frame

I made this frame today while the boys were playing. I needed a little reminder of spring. I got the frame for a dollar at Michael’s and painted it cream.
Tomorrow, I have a matching card to go with the frame.

Patterned Paper: Hostess Pack 09-10 in Mellow Moss, Heidi Grace Paradise Point Pinstripe, Leaves Paper unknown
Sizzix Sizzlit Die Little Leaves
EK Success Green Fiber
